sweet rice

  • 1 l plant-based milk
  • 300 g round-grain rice (preferably brown rice)
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 packets vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
  1. Put milk to boil.
  2. When it starts boiling, add salt, bay leaf and rice and gently stir to combine. Leave to simmer, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon to make sure the rice doesn't stick or burn.
  3. In the end add sugar and vanilla sugar/vanilla extract and remove the bay leaf.

* The rice takes about 15 minutes to cook.
